About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Learning and Development, the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Learning and Development Training Coordinator is responsible for the Implementation of clinical onboarding, training, and support to new workforce members in clinical programs as well as ongoing training and support for tenured staff. The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Learning and Development training coordinators are required to instruct on curricula, course outlines, and training materials based on regulatory requirements, program contracts, and based in person directed, trauma informed, and CLAS models of care as well as serving as the subject matter in training for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities program. The subject matter expert for the IDD program includes but is not limited to: understanding the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, advanced knowledge in evidenced based practices for those with disabilities, and ability to teach workforce various strategies that contribute to improving the quality and care provided for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities as well as their families. Provides trainings that meet the wide range of learning styles and ensures the effective use of modern training methodologies (in-person groups or individual training activities as well as e-learning). The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Learning and Development Training Coordinator partners with LifePath Systems Human Resource Department for successful onboarding and training as well as promotes center wide workforce engagement, recruitment, and retention activities. Other duties as assigned to promote effective training, quality services, and workforce support. The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Learning and Development training coordinator will provide learning strategies that aligns with policy and procedure, compliance, contract and state standards. The Learning and Development Training Coordinator is proficient in the Learning Management System (Relias) including course creating, enrollment and tracking course completion.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field from a four year university.
  • Bachelor’s degree must meet Texas Administrative Code requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Clinical Services (QMHP-CS).
  • Has at least three years clinical experience in a community intellectual and developmental disabilities program
  • Comprehensive knowledge of person centered care, crisis management, cultural competency and CLAS standards, care coordination and trauma informed care
  • Must have current Texas driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field preferred.
  • Texas Licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) with good standing preferred.
  • Has at least one year experience in program training, supervision, and/or support preferred
